Kansas Districts, 2014, 2015

KSHSAA released the new districts for 2014 and 2015, with a few interesting districts.

One of the most notable will be Leavenworth dropping to 5A and playing neighboring Lansing. The two haven’t paired up in football – if ever – and will clash in the last game of the season, at Leavenworth in 2014.

Another major movement in districts will be Blue Valley to Class 6A, where the Tigers will join a loaded field of Gardner-Edgerton, Olathe South and BV Northwest.

Also shaking up things in 6A, Free State moves to the west in a district with Manhattan, Topeka and Washburn Rural. The move sets up the possibility for an all Metro final, or even an all-Sunflower League showdown.

Bishop Miege drops to 4A and will be lined up with Sumner Academy, Louisburg and Spring Hill.

Also, the districts are revealed for the first season of Kansas Class 4A with two divisions.
